Akadimia Platonos Printing Plant
The printing plant at Akadimia Platonos serves
primarily to print newspapers and newspaper-quality
publications. The plant features high-capacity
production lines that coupled with optimised work
flow yields gives high-quality output in very
strict deadlines. The majority of the top-selling
newspapers and a wide range of smaller newspapers
magazines and leaflets are printed regularly at
Akadimia Platonos, whose equipment and machinery
include:
o 3 web offset Man Uniset 2/2 presses,
manufactured in 1994, used to print newspapers,
magazines, advertising leaflets and other documents.
Each printing press has a single-pass printing
capacity of 96 newspaper pages, of which 48 can
be four-colour.
o 2 FERAG supplement insertion units, manufactured
in 1994, for the automatic insertion of supplements
and advertising leaflets into newspapers, with
a capacity of 40,000 insertions of up to three
different supplements per hour.
o 2 automated Mail Room lines, manufactured in
1994, for packaging printed media.
o 3 automated phototype-setting Dinippon machines,
manufactured in 1997, for the automatic production
of pages on film, sent directly from the newsroom
to the printing press.

ORA GIA SPORT (Time for Sport), a daily sports
newspaper
ATHENS NEWS, a daily English-language Greek newspaper
KERDOS (profit), a daily financial newspaper
ANGELIES & EFKAIRIES (Ads & Opportunities),
a classified advertisements' newspaper published
twice a week
EPENDYTIS (Investor) a weekly newspaper, and its
pre-printed supplements: OIKONOMIA (Economy) and
AUTO WEEK
TO PONTIKI (The Mouse), a weekly newspaper
1-2-X, a weekly sports newspaper with betting
forecasts
O METOHOS (The Shareholder), a weekly newspaper
about the Athens Stock Market
PRAKTIKER, an advertising leaflet
CIAO-TV, a weekly magazine with a varied content
ATHENER-ZEITUNG, a weekly German language Greek
newspaper.
Additionally, the Akadimias Platonos plant
also prints over 40 smaller local weekly and monthly
newspapers, as well as dozens of advertising leaflets
and magazines published on demand according to
the market's needs on behalf of non-regular customers.
