Lambrakis Press S.A. becomes the sole
shareholder of IRIS S.A., a company
specialized in sheet-fed printing. The
purpose of the acquisition is to achieve
the full vertical integration of the
Company's printing capacity. |

Lambrakis Press S.A. acquires a multi-storey,
4,000m2 building located at 18, Panepistimiou
Street in central Athens in order to
respond to the continually increasing
housing needs of its publications and
other departments. |

A special telemarketing department
is created within the Lambrakis Press
Organization, with a view to increases
the number of subscribers to its various
publications (after the example of companies
abroad) and promoting the sales of other
products and services. |

KARIERES (Careers) was introduced
as a new supplement included every Monday
in newspaper TA NEA and focused on labour
market issues and job vacancies. |

ZO STON PIREA (Living
in Piraeus)is launched as a special
supplement on local news and entertainment,
concerning the Piraeus area included
in newspaper TA NEA every Saturday.
It was the first such initiative to
benefit the publication's readers. |

Phoenix S.A. is founded, a company
in which Lambrakis Press S.A. holds
a 50% stake via its 100% subsidiary
IRIS S.A., the remaining 50% belonging
to Clamart Ltd. The new company is active
in commercial printing, and possesses
two state-of-the-art, high-speed Man
Rotoman printing presses, one 5-colour
and one 6-colour one, manufactured in
1998. Their total value amounts to approximately
GRD 4.5 billion. The company starts
operating in June 1998 and enters full-scale
operations in October of the same year.

Lambrakis Press S.A. and the National
Geographic Society signs an agreement
concerning the publication of a Greek
edition of the National Geographic Magazine
and the production and exclusive distribution
in Greece of all books, videos and products
offered by the National Geographic Society.
The first issue of the National Geographic
Magazine's Greek edition is published
in October 1998.

The first issue of ZO STA NOTIA PROASTIA
(Living in the Southern Suburbs) is
published. The supplement accompanying
the Saturday issue of newspaper TA NEA
aims to offer its readers news and information
on entertainment and recreation on a
local level, this time targeted at the
southern suburbs of Athens. |

ARGOS S.A, a 100% subsidiary of Lambrakis
Press S.A., is created. The company's
objective is to provide administrative
and managerial services. |

The shares of Lambrakis Press are
listed on the Athens Stock Exchange's
main market, constituting a landmark
in the Company's long and successful
presence in the corporate world. The
IPO is held during October 20-23, 1998,
attracting an unprecedented response
from the investor public at a time when
Stock Markets worldwide were confronted
with discouraging prospects. The shares
commence trading on November 6th. |

Northern Suburbs) is launched as a supplement
in the Saturday edition of newspaper
TA NEA, offering local news and information
on entertainment and recreation to those
of its readers living in Athens' northern
suburbs. |
