1922
The daily newspaper ELEFTHERON VIMA (Free
Tribune) is founded and published by its editor-in-chief,
Dimitrios C.Lambrakis. After the end of World
War II, during which it stopped appearing,
the newspaper was published once again in
1945 by Dimitrios Lambrakis, under the name
TO VIMA (The Tribune) appearing in both a
daily and a Sunday edition.
In 1984, it was decided to concentrate on
a weekly edition of the newspaper, which appears
under the name TO VIMA TIS KYRIAKIS (The Sunday
Tribune). As of March 1999, TO VIMA resumed
its morning daily editions.
