Printing Plant Philippos
Philippos is a commercial printing plant specialized
in newspaper and newspaper-quality printing projects.
Its equipment is comprised of:
• A commercial 6-colour 8-page cylindrical
OCTOMAN MAN ROLAND printing press, manufactured
in 1998, with a capacity of 50,000 8-page per hour.
• Two cylindrical Uniset 2/2 printing
presses manufactured by Man Plamag in 1997
and 1998. Their capacity is 25,000 32-folios per
hour with a cold-set/heat-set printing combination
for newspapers and semi-commercial print jobs. The
presses feature two built-in folding machines and
include a "bay-window" mechanism which enables the
insertion of colour pages anywhere in a newspaper.
• A WOHLENBERG high-speed cutting unit
with a cutting edge of up to 1,150mm for the formatting
of paper and end-products.
• Two MBO T72/642 and K72-A/6KTL
folding machines manufactured in 1997, offering
a practically unlimited number of possibilities
for the final formatting of advertising leaflets.
• A MUELLER MARTINI PRIMA 390 binding
machine, manufactured in 1997 and comprising six
workstations, capable of cutting and binding documents
containing multiple typographic sheets, which can
produce up to 13,000 magazines per hour.
• A MUELLER MARTINI SAFIR 2 shrink-wrapping
machine, used to pack and protect publications accompanied
by supplements, leaflets or promotional gifts in
order to ensure their undamaged distribution. Manufactured
in 1997, it has a shrink-wrapping capacity of 12,000
magazines per hour.
Philippos carries out printing jobs for Northern
Greece Publishing S.A., Lambrakis Press S.A.
and third parties, printing the following publications
on a regular basis:
