COSMOPOLITAN
GENERAL INFORMATION
The monthly women’s magazine “COSMOPOLITAN” (http://www.cosmopolitan.gr) is published by the affiliate company HEARST - LAMBRAKIS PUBLISHING LTD (in which Lambrakis Press has a 50% holding) being the Greek translation of the international young women’s magazine bearing the same title. Since its launching the Greek edition enjoyed a very positive acceptance from the Greek young female readers while both its topics and profile created new momentum in the market of women’s magazines.
COSMOPOLITAN is the first magazine in Greece published in two sizes (normal and pocket) and ranks first among its peers in terms of circulation. In 2007 most of the magazine’s issues were accompanied by extra supplements on topics that interest its audience such as “Cosmo Style”, “Student Life”, “Beauty”, “All about men”, “Astrology” etc.
Also, some of the magazine’s issues were accompanied by gifts for its readers.
In 2007 the magazine issued the stand-alone publication “Kama Sutra”.
CIRCULATION DATA
In 2007 «COSMOPOLITAN» maintained its top position among its peers with average circulation of 85.681 copies per issue.
READERSHIP DATA
According to a recent market survey by Focus Bari for 2007, the total readership for “COSMOPOLITAN” is 532.000 readers per issue.
ATTRACTED ADVERTISEMENT SPENDING
According to data by Media Services SA, the nominal attracted advertisement revenue for “COSMOPOLITAN” in 2007 amounted to 10.780 thousand euros while in 2006 the respective figure was 8.915 thousand euros.
