Odeon S.A. was founded in 1985, with
a company duration of 50 years which expires
in 2035. In June 2000, Lambrakis Press S.A.
acquired a 34% stake in the company, which
produces and distributes movie and video films
and runs cinema theatres.
Odeon S.A. is the leader in its sector.
The company operates a growing network of
cinema theatres throughout Greece under the
trade name of Alpha Odeon (formerly Assos
Odeon).
The company is expanding into the cinema-complex
business in Greece and is the agent holding
the commercial rights of features, characters
and trademarks of major cinema and television
producers, such as Universal Studios, 20th
Century Fox, Viacom, Hasbro and Harvey. Odeon S.A.
is also active in Greek film productions.

Odeon S.A. is the exclusive representative
and distributor of 20th Century Fox, Universal
Pictures and Paramount Studios motion pictures,
television and video films, in Greece and
