IRIS PRINTING SA
"IRIS PRINTING" (www.irisprinting.gr) is the industrial printing arm of Lambrakis Press Group. "IRIS PRINTING " along with its subsidiaries ("PHOENIX SA" and "A-G PAPER SA") make up the largest and most vertically integrated industrial printing conglomerate in Greece and southeastern Europe, that holds the top position in the Greek printing market.
IRIS was founded in 1991 and acquired by Lambrakis Press in 1998. Since then the company has grown steadily expanding its printing activities and acquiring holdings in similar printing companies, aiming to build a full vertically integrated high-quality industrial printing group.
The company's activity extends into all the phases of industrial printing of newspapers, magazines, advertising material, books and all types of printed matter. Today, IRIS prints, binds, inserts, finishes and packages large volumes of publications of various specifications including nationwide and local newspapers, big-run and luxury magazines, advertising material and books.
The company's printing capacity is located in five industrial plants covering all aspects of printing. These five installations are:

Akademia Platonos: Printing unit with a capacity of 75,000 newspapers per hour featuring three web offset presses, two inserting machines and to automatic mail room lines. According to the company's investment plan, in 2002 the plant's activity is going to be relocated to the new large printing facility in Koropi, Attica..

Tsefliki: The largest vertically integrated printing plant in Greece with a printing capacity exceeding 100,000 16-pages per hour, featuring two high-speed web offset presses (one 5-colour and one 4-colour), five stitching, four gluing, eight packaging, four folding and three cutting machines.

Inofita (ex Ithomi): Printing plant with a capacity of 55,000 32-pages per hour, featuring two high-speed web offset 32-page presses (one 5-color and one 4-colour)

Madaro: High-quality cut-sheet printing plant with a capacity of 45,000 16-pages per hour, featuring three sheet-fed offset presses (one 4-colour, one 6-colour and one 8-colour), one ultra-violet varnishing machine and one film laminating machine.

Koropi: New, large-scale state-of-the-art industrial printing plant for newspapers and magazines with a printing capacity of 105,000 newspapers and 110,000 32-pages per hour, featuring three high-speed web offset presses for newspapers, two high-speed web offset presses for magazines (one 5-colour and one 4-colour) and two inserting machines with a capacity of 50,000 copies per hour.

The Koropi plant is the company's latest large investment that is scheduled to be finished and fully operational in September 2002, while a significant part of its industrial machinery and equipment has already been commissioned to production.

The IRIS group also includes the following companies:
"PHOENIX SA": printing plant specializing in magazine and advertising material printing with a capacity of 100,000 16-pages per hour, featuring two high-speed web presses.

"Α-G PAPER SA": Paper importing and logistics company, ranking among the top paper importers in Greece.
In December 2000 following IRIS's rights issue, PEGASUS PUBLISHING AND PRINTING acquired 29.9% of the company's shares.
